Poonhill Trek is one the most famous, short, and easy treks of the Annapurna Region. The main attraction of this trek is the Poonhill (3210m) viewpoint from where you can see breathtaking views of 25 mountains with 3 mountain ranges Dhaulagiri 8167m, Annapurna8091m, and Manaslu 8163m and the 3 Highest Mountains in the world. Poonhill is one of the best destinations to see sunrise/ sunset and a close-up 360-degree Mountain View. Walking in dense rhododendron forests and witnessing springs and waterfalls is the best lifetime experience of Poonhill Trek. The local people of Ulleri and Ghandruk villages, their pattern of lifestyle, and the structure of households are different and fascinating.
Before Trekking starts:
After you arrive at the Hotel your guide will brief you about the trip shortly, this will be the pre-trip meeting for you, so please make sure that you ask all the questions.
We begin our trek at Hille after about 2 hours and 30 30-minute drive on a private vehicle from Pokhara. After a short 15-minute walk along the rice field and beautiful village, we reach Tikhedhanga where you have a rest and lunch there. After lunch, we move on towards the steep climb to Ulleri about 2 hours and 30 min, a large Magar village at an altitude of 2,070 m. The trail ascends more gently from this point, through the village, and towards Banthanti at 2,250 m and we spent overnight there.
From Banthati, the trail ascends more gently through forests of oak and rhododendrons towards Nangethanti at 2,460 m. After an hour's walk from Nagnethanti, we arrive at Ghorepani (2,874 m). We have a short rest and we hike towards Poonhill(3210 m ) to see the sunset & magnificent mountain view.
Today, very early in the morning, we start an hour hike to Poonhill at an elevation of 3,210 m. This viewpoint provides an unobstructed view of the sunrise over the high Himalayas. There we spend about an hour and return to Ghorepani and have a hot breakfast. Then we make a climb along ridges, and through pine and rhododendron forests, towards Deurali (2,180 m). After that, we descend to the Banthanti and Tadapani.
The glorious morning view and after the delicious breakfast we start our trek to Pokhara. After the 2:30 min descent from Tadapani, we reached the amazing historic Gurung village of Ghandruk. Which is one of the big Gurung villages of Nepal. We will stop here for an hour to explore cultural and local activities and have lunch. And we will take a Jeep and back to Pokhara.

Best Season for Poonhill Trek
People trek this area for a whole year. It is easy short and accessible. However good weather is always worth it. Autumn and Spring season are the best season for trekking in this area. You will be blessed by a spectacular Mountain View every day. This trek does not have high passes and difficult terrain. But always need to be careful. Sometimes winter is more blissful to visit this trek.

This is a porter-supported tea house Trek. Two clients share one porter. We will supply you a Trekking Duffel Bag which is carried by the porter. We would like to recommend to you bring your own Daypack Bag which is carried by you. In the daypack bag, you can pack the stuff which you need during daytime such as money, important documents, water bottle/bladder, camera, toiletries, sunscreen, notebook, etc. The weight limit for the porter is 20 kg 10 kg for each client. So, we recommend you pack as carefully as you can and not exceed the weight limit. You can leave your non-trekking stuff in the Kathmandu and Pokhara hotels or office at Pokhara.
