The best time to trek is during the spring (March-june) and Autumn ( September - December) seasons. These months offer clear skies, mild temperatiures, and vibrant landscapes. Spring is ideal for viewing blooming rhododendrons, while autumn offers crips, dry air and stable trekking conditions.
This trek does not have high passes and difficult terrain. But always need to careful when trek at Annapurna Basecamp.

Throughout the trek, you will stay in cosy tea houses run by local families. These teahouses provide the basics amenities, warm meals, and a chance interact with fellow trekkers. Meals typically include Nepali staples such as Dal Vhat, noddles, breads, eggs, soups, and pizza , pastas to feul your trek.
Although this trek is classified as easy trekking, basics physical preparation is essentials. You will be trekking for up to 8 hours a day, with ascents and descentson rugged terrain. It's recommended to engage in outdoor excercise and regular hikes before embarking on the trek. Basic excercise, fitness and strong mindset is enough to do this trek.
To trek the Poon Hill Annapurna Base camp, you will need

2)Annapurna Conservation Area Permit(ACAP)

We begin our walking at Hille after about 2 hours and 30 min drive on a private vehicle from Pokhara. After a short 15-minute walk along the rice field and beautiful village we reach Tikhedhanga where you have a rest and lunch there. After lunch, we move on towards the steep climb to Ulleri about 2 hours and 30 min, a large Magar village at an altitude of 2,070 m.
From Ulleri, the trail ascends more gently through fine forests of oak and rhododendrons towards Nangethanti at 2,460 m. After an hour walk from Nagnethanti we arrive at Ghorepani (2,874 m).We have a short rest and we hike towards Poonhill(3210 m ) to see sunset & magnificent mountain view.
Today, very early in the morning, we start an hour hike to Poonhill at an elevation of 3,210 m. this view point provides an golden view of the sunrise over the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. There we spend about 1 hour and returning to Ghorepani, we take a hot breakfast. Then we make a climb along ridges, and through pine and rhododendron forests, towards Deurali (2,960 m). After that, we descend to the Banthanti and Tadapani or chuile.
The day starts with a steep downhill through millet terrace field. Leaving Chuile, we descend through the forests and then the trail eases as we reach Gurjung which is the village of Gurung people. From here it is an easy walk to Chomrong at an elevation of 2,140 m. This village is at most beautiful view point of our trek. After a short rest we head towards to Sinuwa.
From Sinuwa, the trail ascends little more gently through forests of oak and rhododendrons towards Bamboo (2340m) . After an hour walk from Bamboo we arrive at Dovan (2,500 m).We have a short rest & and we hike towards Himalaya (2,900m). Further 2 hour ascend through thickets of bamboo bushes at the bottom of the gorge we arrived at Daurali.
Today the trail climbs on Machapuchare Base Camp through beautiful gorge of Modi Khola. In winter this trial is quite risk of avalanche. You will slowly enter the valley totally surrounded by mountains. This area is known as the Annapurna Sanctuary. Two hours trek from Machapuchare Base Camp takes us to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) at elevation of 4,130 m. The views of mountain scenery is amazing and heart melting.
In the morning we enjoy the panoramic view with excellent sunrise which is really beautiful in ABC. After finished sightseeing and good moment there, we will have our breakfast and back to the Bamboo with same trails.
After breakfast at Bamboo, we continue our trek through Sinuwa Chhomrong and Jhinu Danda. Jhinudanda have a natural hot spring where we spent all our leisure time and relax.
Our private vehicle will wait there at Samrung just across the Jhinudanda and we back to Pokhara.

Trekking Equipment/ Gear
This is a porter-supported tea house Trek. The season, geographical terrain, and trekking duration determines the trekking equipment. This trek does not need advanced trekking equipment. However you need to prepare. Please find the list of trekking equipment Here and consult with us.
The weight limit for the porter is 20 kg 10 kg for each client. So, we recommend you to pack as carefully as you can and not exceed the weight limit. You can leave your non-trekking stuff in the Kathmandu and Pokhara hotels or office at Pokhara.
