After breakfast, we start we drive to Kande and start trekking from there. We walk on stone steps through villages and forests before reaching a popular viewpoint Australian Base camp. From Australian Base camp we slightly go down to Pothana and up to Daurali. Daurali is a quite and beautiful place in the middle of the forest. From Daurali you can see the Mt.Dhaulagiri (8163m).
Our trail passes through a lush forest with red rhododendrons. The flowers are a common sight in Nepalese hills in the spring season. Our trail is very quiet after Daurali until we reach the forest camp. It is a very peaceful and fantastic place to spend overnight here in the middle of the forest and at the top of the hill.
We trek uphill alongside a ridge towards Mardi Himal and Macchhapuchhre. The tree lines start getting thinner and the area mostly consists of shrubs with isolated rhododendron bushes along the trail. If lucky, we might even come across the Himalayan Monal- Danfe (the national bird of Nepal) on our way to high camp. We ascend up to the high camp, which is the final destination of the day. From here the mountain views are stunning.
In this day, we start our trek to the upper viewpoint/Mardi Base Camp(4500 m) in early morning to see sunrise and magnificent view of Mardi Himal (5587m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna south (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Baraha Shikhar (Mt. Fang) (7647m), Tent Peak (5695m), Singhachuli (6501m), Machapuchhre (6993m) and others. We ascend and descend, sometimes on a steep and narrow trail. Our trail passes through pastures and we hike along a narrow ridge before reaching the Upper Viewpoint. The view of the Himalayan vista from here is astonishing. We trek back to the high camp and Badel Danda in the same way.
We take the same route to Low Camp or a little further and descend to the beautiful villages of Shidhing and Kalimati.
After the breakfast, we start our trek to the Lumre. After a few hours of walking down, through the beautiful Gurung village Ghalel and Lumre. We will take our private vehicle and return to Pokhara.
